the top one is in 3rd gear from about 1200 rpm . . . it quits smokin when the boost gets built up . . .  . . . guess i'll have to get a #10 plate . . .

my uncles 97 smokes atleast twice that much in 3rd gear. but it has something to do with him not going over 45.......rarely. the paint is still on the exhaust manifold....not good cause the pistons and the walls are prolly scored. But whenever i get in ill blow the cobwebs out...lol

My little brother has a 04.5 CTD 2500 6 spd. He has 4in striaght pipe, aem brute force intake and the bully dog downloader with the Crazy Larry. It smokes every time he touches the throttle. And it smokes like a freight train when he garbs a higher gear than its supposed to be in. I think that is so cool. But doesnt doing this make your EGT get tooo high?

yes it can .Myne hardly smokes any more since I changet from Bully Dog to Diablo sports. and now Iam like a Sleeper.

ok i have an 02 duramax, i am bone stock,, only "mod" i have are bigger tires hah. but i dont smoke at all. 0-100 flored, nothing. ever. i want smoke, will just intake and exhaust or just exhaust or vise versa just intake make me smoke?

The only way to get more smoke is to add more fuel, to burn the extra fuel and reap the full benifits of it, you need an intake and exhaust. Gale Banks puts it best and I quote: "Smoke is power you can see, not feel." My truck smokes a decent amount when i turn the juice all the way up, but thats only 'till it builds boost. I have 4inch turbo back straight pipe, bhaf, edge hot juice w/attitude, 100hp jammer nozzles, and a BD Super B special Turbo. I'll get a video up soon...
